Flower: Male cones yellowish brown; female cones yellowish
green; inconspicuous; appears early to late Winter
Fruit: Fleshy, oval, drupe-like; ¼” blue purple; glaucous
Foliage: Opposite, whorled, simple, scale-like to awl-like;
medium to dark green foliage; older inner foliage turns yellow
and sheds throughout Winter
Uses: Specimen, naturalizing, windbreak, screen, hedge, and group plantings with other plants
