Bark: light gray with thick, rough, deeply furrowed scaly ridges
Flower: inconspicuous and not showy; brown
Fruit: Oval; 1-3”; ½” to 1”; dry hard brown; causes litter; showy
Foliage: alternate, simple, lobed obovate pinnate, 8-12” by 4-8” green copper
Uses: Street tree, large specimen tree, parking lots, parks. Not suitable to be planted in lawn strips less then 10’ wide.
